ISIS : An Oil and Natural Gas Cartel

As soon as the Turks and the Israelis started talking about a possible détente, in order for the Turks to buy the Israeli natural gas, since the Israelis need to sell somewhere after the Zohr field was discovered in Egypt, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem said that ISIS is part of Israel’s army. The Grand Mufti also called all Muslims to fight ISIS which is an run by the Jews.

That means that if the Turks and the Israelis reach a detent, the Saudis will start saying that the Jews are behind ISIS. Now that Israel is working with the Saudis against the Turks and the Iranians, the Turks and the Iranians say that the Saudi King is a puppet of the Jews. That’s important in order to understand how significant the war against Israel is for the propaganda of the Turkish Islamists, in their effort to become the leaders of the Sunni world.

I must say once more that the Turkish Islamists do not imagine a Chaliphate under total Turkish control. They imagine it in the form of NATO i.e. the Sunni Islamists of Egypt will run Egypt, the Sunni Islamists of Syria will run Syria etc, but all of them will accept Turkey, the greatest military power of the Muslim world, as their leader.

That’s what we mean when we say that Erdogan wants to become the Sultan of the Chaliphate. Obviously the Saudis do not accept the Turks as the leader of the Sunni Islamist world, because they believe they are the leaders. And Saudi Arabia might not be the strongest Muslim country, since the Americans were not selling the Saudis the kind of weapons they were selling to the Turks, because they could use them against Israel, but Saudi Arabia is the richest Sunni country.

The Islamic Chaliphate, as envisaged by ISIS and the Islamists of Turkey, will be an oil and natural gas cartel, which will negotiate better prices with the Americans, the Europeans and the Chinese, and will fight the Russians and the Iranians if it has to. That’s more or less the dream of ISIS, i.e. an oil and natural gas cartel with a very strong army. The good news is that this is something very difficult to accomplish. Gamal Nasser tried to achieve the socialist version of this dream in the 60s and failed. And he tried it only for the Arab countries.

On the other hand, if a Chaliphate is created with Turkey on one hand, and the Sunni parts of Syria and Iraq on the other, it wouldn’t be too bad for Turkey. Turkey would gain access to the Persian Gulf, 100 years after her defeat during World War 1. Maybe that’s the second best for the Turkish Islamists. That’s even better given that Qatar accepts Erdogan as the Sultan of the Chaliphate.

The following map shows with green what was left of the Ottoman Empire (Turkey), before it was chopped by the British and the Arabs during WW1.

United States VS Great Britain

An interesting article from National Review. See “Breaking from the US the UK condemns the Muslim Brotherhood Calling it a Terrorist Organization”, December 2015. The article says that England has decided to declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, while the United States are not willing to do so. The Muslim Brotherhood is the Sunni Islamist organization mainly supported by Turkey and Qatar, which are Sunni countries, but also supported by Iran, which is a Shiite country, due to the Muslim Brotherhood’s confrontation with Saudi Arabia, which is Iran’s greatest rival.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, even though Saudi Arabia supported the organization in the past, in order to attack the socialists of the Egyptian leader Gamal Nasser, who at the time was attacking Saudi Arabia. But now Turkey and Iran use the Brotherhood to attack Saudi Arabia, and things are very different.

According to the article the ideology of Muslim Brotherhood is the mother of all Sunni Islamist terrorist organizations i.e. ISIS, Al Qaeda etc. See the 6th paragraph of the article. I think that the right way to put it is that for the terrorists of Sunni Islamist organizations, the ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood is what Karl Marx is for the terrorists of the socialist organizations. There are two kinds of terrorists organizations, the socialist and the islamist ones.

According to National Review, now that the English have diverging geopolitical interests from the United States, they can follow somewhat different foreign policies, and by declaring the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization the English will be moving closer to Saudi Arabia and distancing a bit themselves from Qatar. Note that the English recently made a multi-billion dollar agreement with the Chinese, which includes the joint construction of a nuclear plant in England, worth 18 billion GBP (25 billion euros).

Obviously the United States were not very happy to see one of their closest allies cooperating with China in the energy sector. See “China's Xi seals nuclear power deal as part of $62 billion splurge in Britain”, October 2015. Moreover the English are working with the Russians in the natural gas sector, and that will only increase if the Nord Stream 2 pipeline goes ahead, because Shell, the Anglo-Dustch giant, holds 10% of the shares.

The deals with the Chinese and the Russians will greatly enhance England’s energy security, and will reduce her dependence on Qatar’s liquefied natural gas (LNG). England’s production from the North Sea is falling, and Norway and the Netherlands cannot supply England with the required amounts. The English had to turn to expensive Qatari LNG, in order to enhance their energy security, but expensive energy does not help an economy’s competitiveness.

The English were also worried that a war in the Middle East could interrupt the Qatari supplies to England, and were not very happy to be dependent on Qatar. See Financial Times “UK warned over dependence on Qatar gas”, January 2012. To make things better for the English, the Qataris were investing billions of dollars in England. See for example the Guardian Guardian “How much of London is owned by Qatar’s royal family”.

Map 1

The agreements with the Chinese and the Russians will provide the English with safer and cheaper energy sources, because the nuclear plant will be in England, and the Russian gas will flow to England through pipelines networks from Germany and the Netherlands. Moreover the Russian oligarchs invest billions of dollars in London too, competing with the Qatari investments. In England there is also Nigel Farage, who is a great admirer of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Therefore the English hope to reduce their dependence on Qatar, while the United States need Qatar. After the Al Qaeda attacks at the Twin Towers in September 2001, the Americans had to move their military bases from Saudi Arabia to Qatar. Therefore the Americans need the Qataris, and they also need Turkey, a main American ally in NATO. Qatar and Turkey are very close allies, because Qatar need Turkey’s protection in order not to be bullied and squeezed by Saudi Arabia and Iran.

It is true of course that the David Cameron, the current center-right English Prime Minister, is not very fond of Russia. Cameron does not like neither the Russians nor the Islamist fascists, and he seems to be a patriot. But it seems that the English need the Russian gas and cash. We recently saw the English, the French and the Germans siding with Russia, and attacking the Islamists supported by Turkey in Syria and Iraq. The United States have also attacked ISIS, when ISIS was threatening the Kurds, who are American allies, but they never sided with Russia against Turkey. The United States support Turkey when it comes to the Turkish-Russian confrontation.

The leader of the British opposition, Jeremy Corbyn, is not very happy with England’s policies against the Jihadists supported by Turkey and Qatar, because he is a classic left politician, and he is very pro-Islamist. Don’t forget that Qatar has a lot of influence in England. Jeremy Corbyn is also very anti-American, and when it comes to American-Russian confrontation he supports Russia, but in the confrontation between Russia on one hand and Turkey and Qatar on the other he supports the Jihadists supported by Turkey and Qatar.

It is the same for all the European left. In Greece, Kostas Zouraris, a communist member of parliament, who actually belongs the the governing coalition, said that the jihadists who carried out the Paris attacks in November 2015 were heroes who were fighting for freedom against the French colonialists.

One more possible reason that the English are willing to declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, could be the arms the Saudis and the Emirates are buying from them. The Saudis might have promised to order billions of dollars in English arms. For the arms trade between England and Saudi Arabia see Guardian “Britain urged to stop providing weapons to Saudi Arabia”, October 2015. Most politicians of the English left pretend they do not want England to sell arms to Saudi Arabia because of human right violations, but the truth is that they support Qatar and Turkey, like Jeremy Corby does. Jeremy Corbyn was very upset when England decided to bomb ISIS. See Independent “Jeremy Corbyn warns that the West can't 'bomb our way to democracy”, December 2015.

After years of witnessing the anti-democratic agenda of the MB firsthand and simply taking at face value the writings and sayings of its leaders and its offshoots, the Obama administration still clings to an Alice in Wonderland view of the organization that gave us al-Qaeda, ISIS, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, al-Shabaab, and nearly every Sunni terrorist affiliate in the world.

Israel-Russia (December 2015)

The recent efforts between Turkey and Israel to normalize their relations, in order for the Israelis to send their natural gas to Turkey through Cyprus, have alarmed Russia and Iran. Turkey imports from Russia 30 out of the 50 billion cubic meters of natural gas she consumes each year, and another 10 from Iran. The rest 10 billion cm are supplied by Qatar, Azerbaijan and Algeria. It is not a secret that Turkey wants to replace the Russian gas, especially now that there is so much tension between the Russians and the Turks. Turkey tried to do so in 2009 with the Qatar-Turkey pipeline which was blocked by Assad in Syria.

The rapprochement between Turkey and Israel interrupted the very good Russian-Israeli relations. Given that the Shiite Muslim organization of Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon gets its weapons from Russia and Iran, it is not surprising that the quietness that existed in the Lebanese-Israeli borders after the war of 2006 seems to be reaching an end (see RT article). Things will only get worse in the Lebanese-Isrsaeli borders if the Turks and the Israelis reach an agreement for the supply of Israeli natural gas to Turkey.

The Creation of Iraq and Syria - Sunnis, Shiites, Alawites and Kurds

A very nice map of Syria and Iraq, which shows with dark brown the Muslim Alawite part at the Syrian coasts, with brown the Sunni Muslim parts of Syria and Iraq, with orange the Shiite Muslim part of Iraq, and with pink the Kurdish (Sunni) Muslim part of Syria and Iraq.

Map 1 Iraq and Syria

Syria and Iraq did not exist as states until the First World War 1914-1918. These pieces of land were parts of various empires until then, with the Ottoman Empire being the last one. During the First World War (1914-1918), the English and the French helped the local Arab populations to revolt against the Ottomans, because they wanted to prevent the Germans from reaching the Persian Gulf through the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Ottoman Empire which were German allies.

Map 2 German, Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman Empires

When the English, the French and the Arabs did actually win the war and the Ottomans left the Middle East, it was time to decide how the new lands would be distributed to the Arab allies of the English and the French. The English and the French agreed that what became Iraq and Palestine (Jordan+Israel) would be under English influence, and what became Syria and Lebanon would be under French influence.

For the English the Iraqi oil was very important because the oil of Saudi Arabia was not discovered until 1938. The English could also export this oil through Palestine (Jordan+Israel) to the Mediterranean Sea. Moreover the corridor formed by Israel+Jordan+Iraq would offer the English an alternative route to India, which was their most important colony.

When the pro-Soviet socialist dictators rose to power in Syria and Iraq, they used a socialist model and diminished the role of religion in order to homogenize their populations. They also used Arab nationalism to achieve this same goal, since most of their citizens were Arabs, with the exception of the Kurds of course. What is strange is that in both Syria and Iraq the socialist dictators who managed to rise to power belonged to the minorities of these countries. In Syria the father of Bashar al Assad, Hafez Assad, was an Alawite, while Sunni Muslims were the majority of the Syrian population. In Iraq Sadam Hussein was a Sunni Muslim, while Shiite Muslims were the majority of the Iraqi population. Allawites are an offshoot of Shiite Islam.

In 2009 Bashar al Assad refused to allow the Qatar-Turkey pipeline to pass through Syria i.e. the Sunni Pipeline, while he agreed to let the Iran-Iraq-Syria pipeline to pass through Syira i.e. the Shiite Pipeline. The Iran-Syria pipeline would be constructed by Gazprom. As a result the Turks and the Arabs of the Persian Gulf supported the Sunni Muslims of Syria and Iraq, who revolted against the Alawites in Syria and against the Shiites in Iraq. That’s the reason ISIS is the first terrorist organization which wants to establish its own state i.e. the Sunni parts of Syria and Iraq. If that does indeed happen, an Alawite state will have to be created at the Mediterranean coasts of Syria, a Shiite state in Iraq, and a Kurdish state in Iraq and Syria.

The Deterioration in the Israeli-Egyptian Relations

As you can read at the following Bloomberg article, Egypt has frozen negotiations with Israel for the import of Israeli natural gas. The reason was the verdict of the international court which ruled that Egypt has pay Israel a few billion dollars for failing, in previous years, to export to Israel the agreed amounts of Egyptian natural gas.

Egypt was a natural gas exporter but gradually became a natural gas importer. The main reason being her growing domestic demand. But the supplies to Israel were also disturbed by sabotage of the Egyptian networks, like the Arish-Ashkelon pipeline, which connects Egypt and Israel. I guess these networks were sabotaged by Islamist militants supported by Turkey, Qatar and Iran.

Map 1 Arish-Ashkelon Pipeline

After the court decision Egypt has to pay quite a few billions to Israel, and Israel says it plans to take these money from Egypt, which infuriates the Egyptians. I guess the Egyptians believe that since the sabotages were carried out by common enemies, the Israelis should not insist on the compensations. However I have to say that some of the compensations refer to the period 2012-2013, when Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood was in power in Egypt. Mohamed Morsi was a protege of Turkey and Qatar, and wanted to terminate all diplomatic and economic relations with Israel. I mean that some of the problems did not arise from Islamist fighters supported by foreign countries, but by the official Egyptian government of the time.

What is very interesting in the Egyptian-Israeli relations is to see how they will be affected by the discovery by ENI of the Zohr natural gas field in 2015. Zohr is the largest natural gas field of the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and was discovered by ENI in Egyptian waters last August. At the following map from the Foreign Affairs you can see the natural gas of Eastern Mediterranean Sea. Zohr is the largest field of Egypt, Aprodite Cyprus’s largest one, and Leviathan and Tamar Israel’s largest and second largest ones. This is a 2014 map and I had to add Zohr myself.

Map Natural Gas of the East Mediterranean Sea

Until August 2015, when Zohr was discovered, the plan was that Israel and Cyprus would export their natural gas to Egypt, because Egypt cannot meet her export contracts and her domestic demand, and she needed a source of cheap natural gas. Exporting natural gas to Egypt would not disturb the Russians, who export to Europe, and it would not disturb Turkey too much either, since Turkey wants to send natural gas to Europe and not Africa i.e. from the Middle East and Caspian Sea. However after Zohr was discovered the Israelis and the Cypriots cannot count on Egypt to export their gas, at least not in the long run.

The only other player who can absorb large quantities of natural gas in the region is Turkey i.e.  through Israel-Cyprus-Turkey Pipeline. The third solution would be to send this gas to Europe, through the East Med Pipeline (Israel-Cyprus-Greece). However the East Med Pipeline does not seem to be a viable project because it hurts both Turkey and Russia. The Americans, who would see favorably this pipeline, could not go against Turkey, because Turkey is promoting the Southern Energy Corridor, which is a more ambitious project than the East Med. Moreover Turkey is an American ally, and the US greatly needs Turkey. Therefore it is not very easy for the Americans to go against Turkey for a project like the East Med, which would send to Europe approximately 20 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year.

If the American-Turkish relations collapse at some point, and if they Saudis and the Qataris are willing to supply the East Med, the Americans might be willing to provide military support. But until then this project will only be economically and diplomatically supported by the European Union. The problem is that the European Union does not have an army to protect this project from Turkey and Russia.

Map 3

The Israelis of course had given a share of Tamar to Gazprom, and they are discussing the possibility of giving a share of Leviathan too to Gazprom, in order to “cure” this problem. However I do not think that this would make the Russians very happy with the East Med. This plan would make the Russians happy as long as the Israeli gas was headed towards Egypt, but not towards Europe or Turkey.

If the East Med pipeline is taken out of the equation, the only solution seems to be Turkey. An Israel-Cyprus-Turkey pipeline would keep the Turks happy, and the Russians unhappy of course, but the Americans could provide some military support because they would not have to go against their ally Turkey. If the Israel-Cyprus-Turkey pipeline was to go through, the Israelis could ask from the Turks to stop attacking them from Gaza in return, and the Cypriots could ask the Turks to give them concessions on the long Greek-Turkish dispute over Cyprus. Note that Turkey invaded Cyprus in 1974, and the Turkish army is controlling the northern part of the island till this very day. Also note that Egypt and Turkey are almost at war.

Therefore, with the discovery of the Zohr, the Egyptian-Israeli honeymoon might end, because Egypt will not see Israel as the solution to her energy problem, but might see Israel as a potential competitor. Even though there is still the possibility for Israel and Cyprus to use the LNG facilities of Egypt in Damietta and Idku to liquefy their gas and ship it to Europe. In addition, it will take ENI a few years to start production from the Zohr, and the Israelis and the Cypriots could export to Egypt until then.

Map 4 Egyptian LNG Facilities

But even if the Israelis and the Turks work things out, the Israelis and the Egyptians will still face the Islamists of Gaza as a common enemy, because the Islamists of Gaza are not only supported by Turkey, but also from Iran and Qatar. Therefore the Israelis and the Egyptians are natural allies when it comes to Gaza, because Gaza is the center of the attacks to the Israeli South, and to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.

Map 5 Gaza

Turkey, in order to import Israeli gas and normalize the Turkish-Israeli relations, requires that Israel lifts the naval blockade of Gaza, so that it will not seem that Turkey “sells” Qatar, one of her main allies, but also Iran, whose natural gas Turkey plans to send to Europe through Turkey. But I do not think that Israel could lift the naval blockade of Gaza, because the Qataris and the Iranians could send Hamas as many rockets as they pleased by the sea, instead of using the tunnels which connect the Sinai Peninsula to Gaza. If the naval blockade of Gaza was lifted by the Israelis, the fire power of Hamas would soon reach the levels of the fire power of Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon.

That means that it is not very easy for the Israeli gas to travel to Turkey if Turkey insists that the Israelis lift the naval blockade of Gaza. It is not easy for Turkey to accept the Israeli gas even though she dies for it, because Turkey needs an alternative to the cheap Russian gas, especially now that the Russo-Turkish relations have further deteriorated. Turkey imports from Russia 30 out of the 50 billion cubic meters of gas that she consumes annually, and another 10 from Iran. And Turkey is also at war with Iran in Syria and Iraq. Therefore the Israeli gas would be for Turkey a gift from heaven. But becoming friends with Israel would cost a great deal to Turkey, because Erdogan wants Turkey to become the leader of the Muslim Islamic world, and fighting Israel is greatly helping this cause.

Of course if Turkey was to work things out with Egypt, and if Turkey could satisfy Cyprus in the Cyprus dispute, Turkey could receive the Egyptian gas through Cyprus. But the Turkish-Egyptian relations are probably worse than the Turkish-Israeli ones. Things can change of course but that’s how things are today.

Therefore we have to keep an eye on the Israeli-Egyptian relations, and see how they are affected by the compensations the Egyptians have to pay to the Israelis, but also from the discovery of the biggest gas field of the East Mediterranean Sea i.e. the Zohr. I guess it will not be always easy to separate what is due to the former and what to the latter, because the language of diplomacy is not very easy to interpret and very honest either.

Germany's Defeat by the Turkish Islamists and the Greek Communists

In the first eleven months of 2015 Germany received four times more immigrants than she did for the whole 2014. In the first 11 months of 2015 Germany received 965 thousands immigrants. See Guardian “Germany on course to accept one million refugees in 2015”, December 2015. That’s more impressive when one takes into account that in 2014 Germany was already attacked by the Italian Prime Minister Mateo Renzi, who came to power in February 2014, and opened the Italian borders, sending hundreds of thousands of immigrants to Germany.

However that was nothing when compared to what the Greek communists and the Turkish Islamists did to Germany in 2015. When the Greek communists came to power in January 2015 they made an alliance with the Turkish Islamists and they completely destroyed Germany. The Greek communists completely reversed the immigration policy of the previous center-right government, basically inviting immigrants from all over the world to enter Greece. See the following table from the United Nations, which shows the dramatic rise in immigration inflows that followed Renzi’s rise to power in 2014, and the explosion that followed the rise of the Greek communists in 2015.

The Italians and the Greek socialists do not want to introduce reforms and transparency in the Italian and Greek public sectors, something required by the Germans in order to give them more money, and they are sending hundreds of thousands of immigrants to Germany, asking for more concessions in return for controlling immigration. Turkey, a German enemy, through her alliance with the Greek communists of SYRIZA, has already managed to gain 3 billion euros in order to control immigration, and also to unfreeze the negotiations for Turkey’s entrance in the European Union.

The Intra-NATO War and the Attacks at the London Underground

On December 3rd 2015 the British airforce bombed ISIS in Syria for the first time, following the British decision to fight ISIS together with France and Germany. The Brits have actually chosen to bomb a region with an oilfield controlled by ISIS. See CNN “UK jets target ISIS oilfield -- and group's income, defense ministry says”, December 2015.

Map 1 Iraq-Syria

On December 4th hundreds of Turkish soldiers invaded Northern Iraq, near the rich in oil Mosul, which also accommodates oil refineries. See Guardian “Turkish troops go into Iraq to train forces fighting Isis”, December 2015. The Baghdad government of the Iraqi Shiites said that this is an invasion and requested that the Turkish soldiers leave the country. The Turks claim that they are trying to fight ISIS.

Map 2 Iraq – Arab Shiites (green), Arab Sunnis (pink) and Kurds (brown)

http://pukmedia.com/EN/EN_Direje.aspx?Jimare=34669

The truth is that if the Turkish army replaces ISIS the French, the English and the Germans will not be able to bomb anymore, because these areas will be controlled by Turkey, and Turkey, at least on paper, is a NATO ally for the French, the Germans and the English. Therefore an attack by England, France and Germany will be an attack a NATO ally and not an attack against ISIS. Everybody knows Turkey’s connections with ISIS, but these two are not exactly the same thing. The point is that the Turks will make it very difficult for the French, the English and the Germans to attack.

On 4th December 2015 the British Telegraph, and many other newspapers, wrote that Germany does not want to share information with Turkey in Syria and Iraq. The Germans said that they are afraid that Turkey might use this information against the Kurds, but I believe the Germans are afraid that this sensitive information might end up in ISIS hands. See the Telegraph “Germany 'draws up plans to prevent sharing intelligence' with NATO ally Turkey”, December 2015.

Yesterday, only two days after the British attack against ISIS in Syria, a man attacked and hurt 3 people in the London Underground, shouting “That’s for Syria”. See Independent “Leytonstone stabbing treated as terror incident after attacker 'shouts this is for Syria”, December 2015.

I have to remind you that in September 2015 the Russians agreed on Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which will double the Russian gas that enters Europe through the Baltic Sea and Germany, from 55 to 110 billion cubic meters per year. Gazprom holds 51% of the shares, and the rest is equally distributed to the French state-controlled ENGIE, the two German giants E.ON and BASF/Wintershall, the Austrian state-controlled OMV, in which the United Arab Emirates have a large stake too, and the giant Anglo-Dutch company Shell (Royal Dutch Shell). See Gazprom “Gazprom, BASF, E.ON, ENGIE, OMV and Shell sign Shareholders Agreement on Nord Stream 2 project”, September 2015.

With this agreement the Russians bypass Ukraine in order to send their gas to Western and Central Europe i.e. France, England, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, while at the same time they are giving a share to all the big players to keep them happy. They leave out the Italians, who are obviously not happy because they had a large share of the Southern Energy Corridor (Russia-Bulgaria-Southern+Central Europe). The Italians and the Spanish, who are very strong in the Arab countries of North Africa i.e. Algeria and Libya, are also trying to bring to Europe the natural gas of the Eastern Mediterranean Sea i.e. Cyprus, Israel and Egypt. See following map from a very interesting article from Natural Gas Europe.

Map Natural Gas of Egypt, Cyprus and Israel

If the construction of a pipeline is not feasible, the Italians and the Spanish can also use the Egyptian LNG facilities of Damietta and Idku, in order to export to Europe in LNG form the gas of the region (see above map). See also “ENI VS Gazprom – A New War in Eastern Mediterranean Sea

All the above hurt vital Turkish economic interests, and in order to retaliate the Turkish Islamists have allied with the Greek communists and they are sending hundreds of thousands of immigrants to Germany and Austria tearing Europe apart. See also “The European Division Over Nord Stream 2”.

Turkey is asking from the European Union 3 billion in cash, in order to help with the immigrants, and the Greek communist are asking the Europeans not to insist on reform and transparency in the Greek public sector, in order to help with the immigrants too. The Turkish Islamists are also asking that Turkey joins the EU in order to get the big money. I believe that under these conditions Turkey would allow Nord Stream 2 to go ahead. The English, the French and the Germans are currently paying Turkey the 3 billion euros. See Financial Times “EU ready to pay €3bn bill for Turkey’s help with migrants”, November 2015.

The disadvantage of the Russians, the French, the English and the Germans is that they cannot send troops in Syria and Iraq, and therefore they can never win this war no matter how much they bomb ISIS. However to retaliate, the French, the English and the Germans are at the same time bombing ISIS in Syria and Iraq. Turkey cannot possibly say “don’t bomb ISIS”, because Turkey does not admit having any connections with ISIS. That’s Turkey’s big disadvantage. However what Turkey can do is to replace ISIS with the Turkish army as I explained before, in order for France, England and Germany not to be able to attack the regions that will be under Turkish control.

Another problem is that the US cannot intervene because there are NATO members in both sides. If the Americans fight Turkey on the side of France, England and Germany, it will be like throwing Turkey out of NATO. And the Americans really need Turkey in their struggle against Russia. If the Americans intervene on the side of Turkey they will go against their traditional allies, and that’s not possible either. Therefore the Americans will try to be the referee, but this is a very tough fight, and no referee can have an easy life.

The Turks VS the Russians
